MBP Partners with Taupo Parents Centre to Support Local Families

MBP is proud to be partnering with the Taupo Parents Centre to support local families through their Moving & Munching Courses. As a family business with Community as one of our Core Values, this is a cause that the team at MBP didn’t hesitate to support.

With limited funding available to support programs for children over three months, MBP has stepped in to help fill the gap and ensure a range of useful and empowering courses can go ahead. The Taupo Parents Centre holds many courses, one of these being the Moving and Munching course which we are very proud to support.

What Our Support Will Achieve

The support of MBP will allow the Taupo Parents Centre to run multiple ‘Moving & Munching’ courses throughout the year.

This course is aimed at whanau with pepi (baby) from 4-9 months of age as they move into the next stage of development after the fourth trimester. The course is held over three Mondays from 10am-12pm, seven times a year. Whanau are provided with a delicious morning tea and hot or cold beverages.

Through the support of MBP, Taupo Parents Centre are able to contract qualified educators in their fields to provide the following sessions.

  • Movement and Brain Development with a qualified ECE teacher
  • Introduction to Solids with a qualified Nutritionist
  • Toys and Play with a renowned ECE teacher and Simplicity Parenting Educator, and a short discussion around Dental health.

“Not only are these courses great for education and supporting whanau with their journey in parenthood, but they are also an amazing place to connect with other parents in the same space as you.  Through these courses many families have found their ‘Village’ that has led to lifelong friendships and ongoing support during the highs and lows of parenting.” – Kat Money, Taupo Parents Centre

With the support of MBP, the next two months of courses are already full and bookings are being taken for May and June of 2023 as well.
